Questions and answers
What is ClinicBase?
ClinicBase is software for clinics and practices: an agenda, online booking for your clients, automatic emails and reminders, client files and invoices, in one system that works in the browser.
Is there an app?
Yes, without an app store: you put ClinicBase on the home screen of your phone or tablet with two taps, or install it as an app on your computer. It has its own icon and opens without an address bar, just like a regular app. On the iPhone through Safari (Share, "Add to Home Screen"), on Android and the computer through Chrome or Edge ("Install"). ClinicBase itself explains it too, under your account.
Which clinics is ClinicBase for?
For aesthetic clinics, skin therapists, laser and skin clinics and cosmetic doctors: practices with medical and cosmetic treatments who want a professional yet simple system.
Do my clients need an account to book online?
No. Clients choose a treatment and a time on your booking page and fill in their details. They move or cancel through the link in their confirmation, within the cancellation period you set.
Can I make invoices that health insurers reimburse?
Yes. For each treatment you choose medical (reimbursable, no VAT) or cosmetic (with VAT). Invoices carry the AGB codes, the procedure code, the care pathway and the client's insurance details, and ClinicBase warns you when something is missing before the invoice is made.
Where is my data, and what about the GDPR?
Your data is kept on servers in the EU (Belgium and the Netherlands). Only your clinic has access, enforced on the server. You are responsible for your clients' data and we are the processor; that is laid down in a data processing agreement.
Can I switch from my current system?
Yes. ClinicBase can propose your treatments, prices and opening hours from your website, and you load your clients and appointments from an export of your current system.
Can I put the booking page on my own website?
Yes. You copy a booking button or an embedded booking page into your website, for example in WordPress or Wix. You also get your own booking address to share.
Is ClinicBase in English?
Yes. The app, the booking page and the emails to your clients work in Dutch and English, and each client gets the emails in the language they booked in. Insurer invoices follow the Dutch system.
